George Martinelli was born in northeastern
Pennsylvania
and grew up racing motocross. He was crowned the 125cc Regional Champion in 1981.
George moved to Daytona Beach FL. in 1983 where he attended Mainland
High School. George continued his interest in motocross while
attending college at the University Of Central Florida. He is
currently the senior engineer at Bechtol Engineering and Testing.
His passion for roadracing began after attending his first open
track day at Carolina Motorspots Park in 1999. George currently
holds licenses with PACEI, CCS, WERA and competes
in the
middleweight |

and unlimited
(FORMULA EXTREME) classes. He says, "we are one of the few
husband and wife teams in the world, and I know we are the only
team with a woman racing in the Buell Lightning Series". |
